Eclipse Path
A Total Solar Eclipse will transit across North Africa on August 2, 2027 with the mid-point of its path passing directly over Luxor, Egypt. The moon will begin to move in front of the sun 11:20am and will finish its journey across the sun at 1:39pm with the totality at 12:05pm.
For our experience, we will be in the center of Amun Re's path in the middle of its run while floating on a boat on the River Nile during totality. There feels to be something special about being on the river during this solar event.
FIVE (5) Private Visits at Select Sites
In order to honor the nature of the heat in Egypt in the summertime, Sacred Witness Pilgrimages is arranging five (5) private visits to select sites to meet the cooler part of the day:
- The Sphinx (1 hour)
- Philae Temple (2 hours)
- Edfu Temple (2 hours)
- Dendera Temple (2 hours)
- Sekhmet at Karnak Temple (1 hour)
