Eclipse Path

A Total Solar Eclipse will transit across North Africa on August 2, 2027 with the mid-point of its path passing directly over Luxor, Egypt. The moon will begin to move in front of the sun 11:20am and will finish its journey across the sun at 1:39pm with the totality at 12:05pm.

For our experience, we will be in the center of Amun Re's path in the middle of its run while floating on a boat on the River Nile during totality. There feels to be something special about being on the river during this solar event.

The information on this page is for anyone interested in experiencing the Total Solar Eclipse in 2027 in Egypt.

Some of you have found your way here from me, Zahra Indigo, owner of Sacred Witness Pilgrimages and teacher of the Egyptian Mysteries, while others of you are here because you received this link from a partnering tour leader who is working with Sacred Witness Pilgrimages for this special experience. Some of you may have found this page from a web search.

This experience is being organized to accommodate a few groups traveling with the same or very similar itinerary. While we will be moving through the experience together and visiting the same sites, each group will have their own expert Egyptian guide, Sacred Witness Pilgrimages representatives, and group leader.

For those of you who follow my work and are interested in teachings about the Egyptian Mysteries with an emphasis on Amun Re (the sun) as well as Khonsu & Djehuti (both associated with the moon) along with an alchemical transformational process, you can sign up to be a part of my travel group.

Partnering tour leaders will each bring their own particular intention for their groups. The tour will be organized in such a way as to accommodate each participate's interests.

Everyone will have a most extraordinary opportunity to experience the total solar eclipse in Egypt.

It is important to understand that travel in Egypt in the summer truly is meeting Amun Re in all his glory and not just because of the total eclipse! It is typically very hot this time of year, anywhere between 95° to 115° F, with a general average of around 105° F. A UV sun umbrella will be an essential on this trip!! All temple activities will be done at sunrise before the heat of the day sets in. Afternoons and evenings will be for relaxing, reading, connecting, learning, writing, drawing, and more.
